    There is no documentation of the new wp_dropdown_categories() function. And the deprecated dropdown_cats() no longer displays the “All” option.

    The default of wp_dropdown_categories() doesn’t display “All” either, and the order of the categories is not alphabetical.

    Please, what are the options for wp_dropdown_categories()?

    I found the options listed in the wp-include file and used the following settings: <?php wp_dropdown_categories('show_option_all=All categories&orderby=name&hierarchical=1'); ?>

    Does show_option_all=All categories just take you to the homepage of your site?
