• How can I make all my smilies in my comments file, show up in a pop-up box, so they work if I click on them in the pop-up?

I have many and will keep on adding some, so I could do with having them elsewhere than in the file.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • That’s a good idea – i’d like something like that too. A bit better than having them make the page look untidy all available on the comment page. I think i’d have a few with a link to more – like the way messenger works.

That link don’t give much help.

yeah – know that bit macmanx, thanks anyway ??

what we’re asking for [at least I am :D] is a link on the comments page to a clickable smiley pop-up page, so-as to lessen the cludge on the actual comments page, smiley junkies that we are ?? ?? ?? […hehe!]

I don’t recall ever seeing such a popup-smiley-page being posted here, though I can’t remember more than a couple of requests for this in the past year.

    thanks podz

What I would like is this:
On the comments page, above the area for comments, there should be a link to a file, that pop-ups when clicked on the link. In the link is all the smilies (using wp_grins) and it should if you click on one of the smilies, insert the link to the smiley, in the original comments page.

    Can this be done?

The reply I posted up above still stands – although I have seen this requested once or twice, I haven’t seen a solution posted.

I think it’s a case of either waiting for one to come along or offering a payment to a coder for it.

ludvig…It can be done. A great script can be found at Scripty Goddess.

I finally tested it but no, it didn’t work.

Has anyone been able to get this to work? I would love to be able to fill in smilies from a popup reference as well. I just installed WP-Grins and it’s great for what it does, but I have a collection of smilies that I want to use, and it’s rather extensive … a popup reference would be better than having them load every time I compose or edit a post. ??

this is something that i’m looing for also…
