Google Search Console: If I ‘request indexing’, I got this message:

Crawled as Google Inspection Tool smartphone
    Crawl allowed? Yes
    Page fetch: Successful
Indexing allowed? error: No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag

    The problem:
Somehow this meta tag is added within the <head>-section:
    <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, nofollow”>

I appreciate your support to fix this problem, thanks.

Do you still have “Discourage search engines” checked at Settings > Reading in your Dashboard? https://www.ads-software.com/documentation/article/settings-reading-screen/

No, it is unchecked and all SEO plugins are deactivated.

I’ve done a test with a backup-copy of this site. Strange behaviour at the copy-site:
At first there is no noindex-metatag on the copy site,
but if I check “Discourage search engines” checked at Settings > Reading, then I get a noindex-meta tag right after the title tag
AND another metatag in the same place as on my main website.

    Another test on the copy-site:
If I change the theme, again I have no noindex-metatag. But after checking “Discourage search engines”, I just got one noindex-metatag in the code.

So, it sounds like the problem is in your theme somewhere.

What is the name of the theme you’re using?

picostrap5 (Child Base) – it supports Bootstrap for the
the LiveCanvas page builder. Well now I need another Theme with Bootstrap support or I add Bootstrap to a standard theme.

Problem solved, I have changed the theme. Thanks for the help.
