wp_head problem with WP Popular Posts

Hi all, I just started coding in WP 1 month ago, so theres still lots of stuff I dont know.

I downloaded the WP Popular Posts, and followed the instructions to add wp_head in my header. However, after I did so, I discovered that my site was slow in loading, and some images were not loaded at all. I checked my html source in the browser console, and discovered that wp_head seemed to be loading lots of other code.

Once wp_head was removed everything was fine, but since wp_head is needed to run WP Popular Posts, does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Thanks for reading!!!
