    Hi,

if like me you tryed to log into your wordpress blog and realized you couldn’t because the page wp_login.php (neither did it work with /wp-admin/index.php) would return a blank page, then you’d find interesting to note that by changing one of these files (taken from a fresh 1.5.2 tarball) you’ll solve your problem :
    wp-settings.php
    wp-rss2.php
    wp-rss.php
    wp-register.php
    wp-rdf.php
    xmlrpc.php
    wp.php
    wp-trackback.php
    wp-links-opml.php
    wp-pass.php
    wp-mail.php
    wp-login.php

I don’t know which file was causing the problem, but changing them all at once did allowed me to be loged into WordPress.
Also note that I uploaded the wp-admin folder prior to that but to no apparent avail.

  • Hi,

After a brand new install I had the same problem. After adding a space to the wp-login.php file (at the end of the first line) and uploading the updated file, the page was no longer blank in IE6 and Firefox 1.0.7
