    Hi

Today I m getting the following alert:

The FluentSMTP plugin depends on wp_mail pluggable function and plugin is not able to extend it. Please check if another plugin is using this and disable it for FluentSMTP to work!

    Possible Conflict: /home/xxx/public_html/example.com/wp-includes/pluggable.php:182

Yesterday WP was updated, but I don’t think that’s the culprit, I just reinstalled it…

    Any hint ?

    Alain

  • Dear Support,

We are seeing the same error message:
    https://i.imgur.com/ZpfPjV8.png

In our case it also appeared after yesterday’s update and we did not change any plugins, e.g. add a new one, de-activate / activate plugins, etc.

We suspect that it has something to do with the Fluent SMTP update itself.

    Please investigate.

    Many thanks,

    Piet

Last update of FluentSMTP plugin was 2 weeks ago, so it is something else … Yesterday WP was updated, I rolled it back and the problem remained.

    Hi @caban13

    You raise very good points.

Just to clarify, you rolled back the last FluentSMTP or yesterday’s WordPress update?

I suspect you rolled back the FluentSMTP update but kept the WordPress update and still the problem persisted, i.e. the WP update appears to be the cause.

    Did I understand you correctly?

    Hi

I rolled back the last FluentSMTP and last WordPress, in one at a time and both together, the problem always persisted.

Really, I suspect of a different plugin causing this… I only raised this because FluentSMTP is mentioned in the alert.

    Thanks

    Hello @caban13,

It seems like the default wp_mail function is getting blocked on your website. Can you please check if there are any other SMTP plugins installed on your website? If so, kindly deactivate them and hopefully, the issue will be resolved.

If this is not the case, then there are other conflicts that block the wp_mail function. I would recommend you to contact the hosting provider regarding the issue.

    Thank you

As I said before: “I only raised this (ticket) because FluentSMTP is mentioned in the alert.” … I already know who is the culprit, I am waiting for the fix.

It is time to close this ticket.

    Dear @amimulihsanmahdi

In our case the culprit were the plugins ‘Booster for WooCommerce’ and the premium add-on ‘Booster Plus for WooCommerce’.

The fix by the plugin author is offered in this thread:

    Many thanks for your help.
