wp_posts table handler upset

  • I recently installed WordPress (1.5.1.2) and have been using this with no issues for the last week or so. Today, when I loaded the site, I got the following error:

    WordPress database error: [Got error 28 from table handler]
    SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= ‘2005-06-22 19:39:59’ AND (post_status = “publish”) GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 5

    As a result no posts are being displayed.

    Any suggestions?
