wp_schedule_event – custom recurrence time

Is there a way to set my own recurrence time for the function wp_schedule_event (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/wp_schedule_event)? I can use only “hourly”, “daily” and “twicedaily”.

I want to execute a function every X hours (defined by users).
How can I do that?
