This plugin is causing errors when wp_debug is on. Error Notice: WP_Scripts::localize was called incorrectly. The $l10n parameter must be an array. To pass arbitrary data to scripts, use the wp_add_inline_script() function instead

To determine which plugin was causing issues I swapped to WordPress 2020 theme, deactivated all plugins and activated one by one. This is the plugin that is causing issues. Please update

  • Dear @katiehartrick ,

    Thanks for reporting an issue.
We will make sure to check the report and fix that during the next update.
We will get back to you, once the fix is done.

In my case, FileBird is the problem.

Same problem with Popup Builder v3.78. FYI, the plugin, Query-Monitor, is a very quick way to find out which component is causing an error in debug mode.

    Dear @rltechdude ,

    Thanks for reporting as well.
The reported issue will be fixed during the next update.
We will make sure to get back to you, once it’s fixed.

    Dear @katiehartrick , @threefeathers and @rltechdude ,

This is to inform you, that the above-mentioned issue is solved now.
Please, update the plugin to the latest 3.79 version, and after clearing the cache check again.

Using Pop Up Builder 4.0. Still getting this message on my site:

WP_Scripts::localize was called incorrectly. The $l10n parameter must be an array. To pass arbitrary data to scripts, use the wp_add_inline_script() function instead. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 5.7.0.) in /var/www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5535

I deactivated PopUp and message is gone.
