Once I installed WPBackItUp Premium 14.0 I received the message “WPBackItUp Core must be installed and activated” in a banner at the top of the site’s dashboard. Clicking on the link took me to the WorkPress.org WPBackItUp web page. I installed version 1.13.6 from this site and my web site immediately displayed a Error 500 web page.

I used the cPanel File Manager to remove the WPBackitup 1.13.6 plugin and the site returned to normal but, the “WPBackItUp Core must be installed and activated” banner message is still there.

I deactivated the WPBackitUp Premium plug in and tried to install version 1.13.6 from the www.ads-software.com site again. Again, my site displayed Error 500.

    Greg,
We are working on releasing 1.14 but it should not be available yet. Where did you receive a copy?

    Thanks
    Chris

It was in my purchase receipt today.

Thanks Greg, my apologies. That release should not have been included in the download list. Please try installing 1.13.6. I suspect you will not run into any additional issues.

    Chris
