WPBook Broken Randomly (Help Me Please)

    I own the website https://www.gizmoninja.com which is a huge tech site and right now we cant afford to keep posting without it going to Facebook. I do not want to migrate to an alternative since this Facebook app worked great for awhile.

    Every time I enable the plugin and go to my Facebook app page it will create an error – I can’t change any settings or visit the page – if I deactivate it will show up just fine. If I have the plugin activate and mark the app to show errors all it does when I post is to show me a box with this in it

    “No post id returned from Facebook, $fb_response was /n and
    $fb_page_type was and $wpbook_description was (my articles content)”

    Here is all my info:

    *Site: https://www.GizmoNinja.com
    *Wordpress Version: 3.1
    *WPBook Version: tried on 2.1 and 2.1.1
    *Facebook App website: https://apps.facebook.com/gizmoninja/
    *Kind of Page Group/Business : https://www.facebook.com/GizmoNinja
    *When I try “Check Permissions” I get the same “Error
    An error occurred. Please try again later.” text in Facebook just like I get while going to the app’s page
    *This Error happens with every blog post…

    I appreciate the help!

    (this plugin is disabled so if you guys are checking it won;t throw the error screen – I have editorial that post and need it disabled right now so it will post to the webpage)

    WPBook 2.1.2 got released – I think the issue will be solved by this update but you will need to regrant permissions

    Issue Solved – it posts now BUTTTT lol

    I get this now

    I am sorry to combine errors and problems but I didn’t want to waste e-paper haha – anyways i did re grant permissions etc and like I said it posts perfectly except for this happening with or without show errors enabled…

    Ouch – sorry, my bad.

    I just checked in to the trunk a fix for this. (It will be in the “development” version in the next 30 minutes or in the next release).

    If you want to patch your own, add:
    $debug_file= WP_PLUGIN_DIR .'/wpbook/wpbook_pub_debug.txt';

    After line 6 but before line 37 of wpbook/includes/publish_to_facebook.php

    I think disabling debugging (in WPBook Settings->Stream/Wall Options, ” Enable WPBook to create a debug file”) should also eliminate the problem.

    Thanks John I will disable debug and go ahead and check it for a workaround – if that doesn’t work ill add the code in the correct spots…

    I appreciate your help and I am sure you have better things to do then here me whine but like I said this is a big site and all my staff was letting me know about the errors left and right…
