I tried everything without success to solve the problem
This only happens on 1 out of 10 domains

    Hello @psydrug,

It looks like we cannot access your site’s XML-RPC file here: https://veterinary-center.co.il/xmlrpc.php.

This file is used by Jetpack and other plugins and apps to connect to your site. Because the file is not accessible, Jetpack cannot maintain a connection with your site. It must return the following message:

XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only.

You can see a working example here: https://wp.cloud/xmlrpc.php

I would recommend that you check the following:

    1. Can you see the /xmlrpc.php file at the root of your WordPress installation when accessing your site via FTP? If you don’t, then please try re-installing WordPress. You can do this by going to the Dashboard -> Upgrades page, then click the “Reinstall” button.

    2. Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
    3. Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host.

Once we are able to access your site’s xmlrpc.php file, please try to reconnect your site: https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/#reconnecting-jetpack.

Let us know how it turns out!

    Hello @tamirat22,

Thank you very much for the answer
I tried the 3 steps, without success
I also tried reconnecting to the plugin, with no success

    Why is XML-RPC file missing?

All my sites show a 404 error
    https://vmr.co.il/xmlrpc.php
    https://i4you.co.il/xmlrpc.php
    https://starpc.co.il/xmlrpc.php
Everything works fine, except for the domain in question

    Thanks in advance

    Hi @psydrug.

Thanks for getting back to us! I have made some changes on our which should help with the Jetpack connection.

Please try deleting and then reinstalling the Jetpack plugin on https://veterinary-center.co.il and let us know how it goes.

    Best,

Thank you for the update. That sounds strange. Have you changed anything on your site?

I noticed that you have the Wordfence plugin installed. Could you temporarily disable it and try to connect Jetpack? Please let me know how it goes.

    Thank you!

    Hello Paulina,

Thank you very much for the answer,

I did not make any changes to the server or the site
It only happens on 1 out of 10 domains, all the others work great
I thought you did something to make it work

    I disabled the Wordfence plugin

    Thanks in Advance

Hello there – it appears your other site are connected via alternate connection and that is why the not working of XML-RPC is not affecting those but for this site even the alternate connection is not helping so we will have to make sure the XML-RPC is working.

Could you please contact your hosting provider and ask them if they have disabled the XML-RPC for the site because of which 404 page is appearing? The host can also whitelist our IPs to allow us access your site via XML-RPC. Our IPs can be found here.
