    Hello,

I’m trying to understand how can I whitelist all process generate from wpDataTables plugin? If Wordfence is on the plugin can’t generate tables form mysql.

This is the reply form wpDataTables support:
You need to whitelist the operation (preferably wpDataTables in total) in WordFence, and the issue should be resolved.

    Thanks

Hello @rashkoff and thanks for reaching out to us!

I have searched around on the WPDataTables support page and was not able to find the IPs that need to be whitelisted. You might need to ask them for specific IPs so you can add them manually.

Once you get the correct IPs, to then add IPs manually to the whitelist, navigate to Firewall > All Firewall Options > Advanced Firewall Options > Whitelisted IP addresses that bypass all rules.

If something is being blocked, you might be able to whitelist it yourself via the Live Traffic page. Head over to Tools > Live Traffic. Are you seeing any actions being blocked by WPDataTables? If so, you can click on the action and whitelist it right from here.

You can also try Learning Mode. From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. Now perform the actions that were causing issues. This will help Wordfence learn that these actions are normal and it will allow them in the future. After you have finished performing the actions, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting. Now test to see if these actions work correctly.

https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/ is an amazing resource for learning more about the WAF and learning mode.

Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks!
