    Hi,

    Just been told to report here by the WPForo support team, who suspect that there is a problem with WordFence configuration.

    A little background:

    I’m running a website with ‘anyone can register’ UNchecked and there are seven or eight members that were granted access by going to WordPress>Users.

    The other day I decided to open a forum (WPForo) and even though users can register quite freely using the forum software, there is a problem with those initial eight members.

    ‘Anyone can Register’ REMAINS unchecked, as WPForo somehow bypasses the WordPress system, which stops any hackers and the like registering.

    Problem is with these eight members, is that whenever they try to logon into the WPForo software, the screen goes white with the error message

    ‘You are temporarily locked out
    You have been temporarily locked out of this system. This means that you will not be able to log in for a while.’

    I tried logging in as a new member and it all went very well, no problems at all. It’s just these eight members who are already registered that seem to be having problems getting into the forum.

    Is this a WordFence configuration error, or is there something that the WPForo support team should be advised of?

    Problem solved – I just needed to whitelist a couple of the eight members’ ip addresses.
