WPFunnels – How do you insert a new step

    Hi WPFunnels,

    I cannot figure out a way on the canvas to insert a step in between a landing page and checkout page in my funnels.

    If I click the red cross on the checkout, the button options I have are :

    • Add a new step (which replaces the checkout step)
    • Connect to previous step (which removes the checkout step)

    I want to insert/add a new step (custom) in between Landing page and checkout. How do I do this please, without rebuilding the entire funnel?

    Hi @themanlikegra , at the moment it’s not possible to add a new step in middle of a funnel journey with the new UI. Sorry for the current inconvenience.

    Hopefully, we will improve it.

    Hi Rifat,

    Thanks for responding.

    I really hope you will improve it. Its fundamental to managing, building and editing steps in the funnels.

    Currently, to add the changes to the funnel, the only option is to rebuild it from new.

    In attempting to find a way to add the step, I inadvertently removed the landing page and the checkout steps and there is no way to add them back in.

    The new UI is not really helping the UX.

    Do you know if the dev team is working to improve and fix this at the moment?

    Hi @themanlikegra , for now you can apply this workaround –

    • First of all, save the existing funnel page design. Use your page builder to save page as a template.
    • Then create a new funnel or duplicate the existing funnel. If you duplicate, remove the steps you need to rebuild the funnel.
    • Add steps from scratch. While editing step pages, import the existing saved page templates.

    Hi Rifat,

    Thanks for providing a workaround. I had rebuilt the funnel again, but will try your steps when i next need to make edits.

    Do you know if the developers are working on adding the fix/improvements to the UI to address this issue?

    Hi @themanlikegray , currently we do not have any specific timeline for that.

    Definitely, we’ll improve the new UI more to make the funnel creation journey easier for our users.

    But I am afraid adding a new step in the middle will not be the same as before. Please continue using the workaround and thank you for understanding.
