    Hello

By renaming the rpc file on my server I managed to get total sync working foro my selected photos! Thankyou for a great plugin! Now the questions:

    A)
But after it has with my help (clicking next) matched them, I get these matches marked as new photos to publish.Since these already exist on my WordPress site, I wonder if it is safe of me to publish all. What will happen? Will your plugin simply overwrite the existing files on my wordpress site (same as replace media). I do not want duplicates…

    B)
There is no way similar to ‘unmark a photo for publish’ in your plugin. For example in flickr, if I do some metadata changes to a photo it doesn’t always mean that I want to publish it again and I can thus remove it from the new to publish queue. Can I do this also with your plugin?

Yeah, it’s normal ?? If you want to make sure you can try by publishing only one image to start with. Do you know you can do that?

Unmark a photo for publish? You can mark the photo as already up to date, there is also this in the contextual menu and that will do it.

The filenames are not modified, the same are re-used so normally you don’t need to update the posts and pages ??

    Hi Jordy,

thank you for your plugin, it is great, except one little thing…

I just found this post by chance and I was wondering when I was reading this: “normally you don’t need to update the posts and pages :)”

That would be awesome but when I upload (sync) changed pictures back to WP I loose the preview images of the albums in NextGEN. What is wrong here?

To choose them every time manually (after every sync that includes a preview picture) is not really a option.

Would be nice if you can help,
    regards Daniel

    Hello zoulu,

Unfortunately I am not sure. I really need some help on this extension since I am not using NextGEN at all and I don’t know how it works. I have just started to develop this extension to help other users and developers to continue it (I was hoping the NextGEN team would participate). The problem is that NextGEN uses its own image and we can’t replace them, so basically at each sync there is a remove and an add, which changes the ID of the thumbnail. That’s my guess (and I am pretty sure that is what’s happening). We need to find somebody who LOVES NextGEN to help me on that extension… ??
