I have a site which has forever displayed the user’s login in a widget using

    [wpmem_logged_in]You are logged in as: [wpmem_field user_login][/wpmem_logged_in]

For reasons I do not understand this now fails to display the user’s login – it appears as a blank.

To experiment I’ve tried using wpmem shortcodes in th e main text area of a page.

    Here I can display [wpmem_field first_name] , [wpmem_field last_name], [wpmem_field user_email] but not [wpmem_field user_login] or [wpmem_field user_name]. I’ve tried the quoted name variants:

    [wpmem_field field=”user_login”]

I’m running version 3..4.9 of WP-Members using the [fully enabled] setting and using theme OceanWP

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you’re updated to 3.4.9.1. There was an issue with user_login being excluded from the allowed fields for the [wpmem_field] shortcode in 3.4.9.

Very many thanks for the prompt reply. The version is shown as 3.4.9 and was shown as updated 6 days ago and I have updates auto-updates enabled. I can’t see an immediate way to update to 3.4.9.1. directly. Should i just delete the current version and do a reinstall. Should I save current settings or are the install defaults pretty generic.

    Regards

I deleted the plugin and re-installed it; the settings were pretty intuitive and all seems good now. Thanks again for your excellent help.
