This is a great plugin. I have two questions:

    1. You say that it supports WPML. What about the global settings? I do not wish to customize each page individually unless really necessary. For example, how can I translate the global meta description? The obvious solution would be to use WPML’s admin screen string translate but I would like to avoid it.

    2. Is there a feature like the most popular SEO plugin has, to customize the format of the titles with variables or something?

    And one suggestion:
It is rather confusing that the meta title will show on FB, but not on the title even though it is claiming to do so. For example:
Website title (set in WP general): My Website
Meta title: My Website | London, UK
In FB you will see the second one. In every page you will see the first one.

    Thanks

    Hello!

    Question 1:
The global settings affect all languages. As such, warnings are shown next to a few settings when WPML is enabled; namely in the Homepage Settings meta box. Moreover, The SEO Framework plugin provides granular control for all pages individually, and they can be different per language.

If you’re just starting with your site on WPML, I strongly advise against using the query parameter for translations, as this isn’t the most stable. I recommend using subdirectory over subdomain, as moving domains will be easier than directories; but either is fine.

    Question 2:
No, I’ve always been against that as it incentivizes grey-hat and even black-hat SEO. However, I am going to implement a new form of it that is white-hat. Development of it has yet to get started, so I do not have an ETA yet.

    Your suggestion:
It shouldn’t be confusing, and that’s why I think you’re facing a bug in the software. Could you forward me the affected link(s) of your site? Either here, or confidentially via my contact page, so I can assess the issue? Thanks!
