    Hi,

I’m using Events Manager with WPML.
I’ve installed “Events Manager and WPML Compatibility” and included define(‘EM_WMPL_FORCE_RECURRENCES’,true); in wp-config.php but I can’t Enable “recurrence” in settings. I select “yes” and save but setting don’t save.

    Already tried reinstalling plugins.

My goal is showing calendar in different languages but I DO NOT need to translate the events. Just show the calendar in different languages.
Deactivating “Events Manager and WPML Compatibility” I can activate recurrence but calendar does not show in other languages.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance!

    Normal installation. NOT multisite.

I’m not able to reproduce this issue. Can you tell us more about how you’re setting up / displaying the calendars on your site?

Are you selecting Make ‘Events’ translatable on the Edit Event pages?

    Thread Starter ivansa

    (@ivansa)

Make ‘Events’ translatable on the Edit Event pages was UNselected.
Now I’ve selected it, but I still can’t enable recurrence. Despite I select “yes” and save, It’s not saving.

I’ve still been able to reproduce this problem.

What happens when you try to save? Do you get a white screen? Or is there an error message? If there is, can you post it here?

I don’t get any error message. Just go back to settings screen.
But now I’ve activated WP_DEBUG = true and I’ve got the following after enable recurrence:

Which version of Events Manager and the Pro add-on (if you have it) are you using?

    Thread Starter ivansa

    (@ivansa)

    Events Manager Version 5.5.3
Events Manager and WPML Compatibility Version 0.3
I don’t have Pro add-on. But I could buy it if necessary to solve the issue.

    Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, running or not running the Pro version won’t have any impact on this. I’m just trying to see why we’re not able to reproduce the issue.

I meant to also ask you which version of WordPress you have…

    Thread Starter ivansa

    (@ivansa)

    WordPress version 3.9.1

Can you test with all other plugins deactivated and while running the default WordPress theme? It’s possible there’s a conflict being caused somewhere else.

    Thread Starter ivansa

    (@ivansa)

I installed a fresh WordPress with twentytwelve theme

    Installed:
    Event Manager Versión 5.5.3
    WPML Multilingual CMS version 3.1.5
Events Manager and WPML Compatibility Versión 0.3
    Added define(‘EM_WMPL_FORCE_RECURRENCES’,true); in wp-config.php

After activate Events Manager and WPML Compatibility recurrence turn to disable.
Tried to enable it but I still can’t do it.

I can give you access to that WordPress if you would like to try by yourself. Just let me know an email address so I can send it in private.

    Thanks

When you say “After activate Events Manager and WPML Compatibility recurrence turn to disable”, what exactly happens?

Does the Recurring Events option just disappear from the main admin menu? Is there a message displayed?

Another think to check is that Enable recurrence is always set to Yes under Events > Settings > General > General Options.

    Thread Starter ivansa

    (@ivansa)

I mean, when going to EVENTS >SETTINGS > GENERAL OPTIONS
Enable recurrence switch to NO. and thought I choose YES and SAVE, changes don’t save and when screeen reloads NO es selected AGAIN.
    See capture for more details.
