WPML Compatibility issue!!!

That is because WPML overrides the site URL when you are viewing any language. On https://developmentce.wpengine.com/ you will see that the Language links are treated as internal because the side URL is https://developmentce.wpengine.com/ and External Links sees https://developmentce.wpengine.com/fr/ as being part of the website.

But on https://developmentce.wpengine.com/fr/, WPML overrides the site URL to be https://developmentce.wpengine.com/fr/ and links such as https://developmentce.wpengine.com/de/ are now seen as external because they not a subpath of https://developmentce.wpengine.com/fr/.

In the free version we don’t have any options to handle that. In PRO you could create Link Rules for those links and just force them to be treated as internal. This forum is only for the free version of the plugin though so if you have any other questions about PRO please contact us through the website ??

So the free plugin is not compatible with WPML, right?

We have found a solution for the issue, there is an option to include the subdomains as the internal links and we checked the option and now the WPML language URLs working fine. PFA
