Recently, we have noticed an issue that used to occur in the past revive itself (I believe this was addressed in another ticket). In short, a plugin may be DISABLED on WPML English Version of the SAME PAGE [Let’s use home for example] which will cause the same plugin to be DISABLED on WPML French Version of the SAME PAGE. Due to some improper link

If I disable Smart Slider 3 at ellasbubbles.com (EN), yet enable it for ellasbubbles.ca (EN) or ellasbubbles.mx(ES), it will remain disabled and vise versa.

Right now we have a few vivid issues to point out and I have made a video to demonstrate them in fuller detail: https://youtu.be/Zs33aVF9WOA

For now I have pasted the content of the reusable block onto my home page so you will need to make a new test environment. We performed a workaround on our end

    Hi @tanner96

Unfortunately, FDP doesn’t fully support multi-domains.
As I understand you need some plugins to be active only for some languages, right?
This would be possible if the domain was always the same, but if you use different domains as in your case, it may not work because we don’t test the plugin with different domains.

    Hi Jose,

As an FDP user since launch (and on 50+ of my clients websites), I am shocked to hear that there is a hurdle that has not been conquered. WPML is a very popular plugin with a very responsive support team; can we motivate attention to this integration? As a developer myself, I can already visualize a few methods of compatibility; of course this would need to be configured in more depth with the plugin.

For now, I guess we are out of luck and forced to remove your plugin from our website for the first time since launch. International expansion has caused a long distance relationship; hoping for a solution – possibly even another great incentive for Pro

Jose, do you believe that the Pro Version would automatically solve this issue using auto detect for which plugins to activate?

If so, maybe we can work something out?

    Hi @tanner96

the PRO version will be compatible with multi-domains, but not because of the auto-detection.
Simply because the multi-domains compatibility will be added to the PRO version.

Sorry to disappoint you. I can’t say now when FDP PRO will be compatible with multi-domains.

Currently, if you want something tested on installations with multi-domains, you can’t use FDP.

    Have a great day!

@tanner96 Please do not post your email address again. Doubly so, do not attempt to obfuscate it that way either.

    I have archived your reply.

Removing the email alone would have been sufficient.

Anyway, this has ended my anual FDP commitment across multiple sites considering we have outgrown the capabilities of this plugin by going global in a localized fashion.

If you do put attention toward the feature, we would remain very grateful, and would be more than happy to beta test.

As always, thank you for your commitment to the forum

The compatibility with multi-domains will be added to the PRO version. But it will require time because there are other priorities.

Thank you, but we don’t need help developing compatibility with multi-domains.
The issue is clear and we know the structure of FDP. It’s a matter of adapting the structure to multi-domains.
Unfortunately, few users need this compatibility, and adapting the structure of FDP to multi-domains must be done carefully because old installations may have serious issues if something gets missed during development and testing.
This is why this compatibility will require time and I suggest you use a different plugin.

Sorry, but I can’t help more with this issue.

    Best regards

    Jose
