  • Hello,

this post is two weeks old, but has seen no update yet.
I am facing the same problem. With version 3.x of this plugin, the sitemap contained ~560 links submitted to google. On the day of the update to version 4.0, I can see it dropped to 230 links. When I check the XML sitemap, it only shows the links of the main language, but not the other languages.
Can you please have a look into this? This is a really nasty bug!

    I am on WP 3.8.3, G-XML-S plugin version 4.0.3 and WPML 3.1.4.

    Thanks, Herbert

    Hello Arnee,

thanks for providing the beta for testing.
This is a great progress, the WPML compatibility is much improve, although not complete yet.
The sitemap-pt-post-<year>-<month>.xml files now contain articles in all my available languages. Great.

The “other” sitemap files however not yet, I mean:
    sitemap-tax-post_tag.xml
    sitemap-tax-category.xml
    sitemap-authors.xml
    sitemap-archives.xml

Thos 4 sitemaps still only contain the main language, in my case in German, but there are no archives/authors etc. links to the english and spanish languages.

    Thanks, Herbert

    Hi @herbert,

Thanks for the note. I will check how these taxonomies are saved in the database. But the most important content are the posts, and that should work now ??

Hi, i am using WPML also in subdirectories.

Tried version 4.0.7 and dont work…

I am still blocking robots for now (i think it is not important for the plugin to work ok), but i wanted to see if my oriented language sitemaps where created, and i can′t even see the index sitemap file. I receive a 404 error..

I will update your plugin to last version to see if it works.

Can you help me someway with this?
What can i do to google sitemap generator plugin to build different sitemap files for different languages in virtual subdirectories ?

    Thanks.

    Regards.
