    Hi!

I’ve started using your plugin, recommended by Elementor for its compatibility. It seems working well, apart for an issue created by the use of WPML for translating. I had only an image translated via the media translation and that image shrinks (and keeps shrinking the more you reload the page) if optimized by Optimole. For now I excluded it and all it’s fine, but in the future I’ll translate more images and it would be cool if it is compatible with WPML.

Your plugin seems already quite compatible. It would be great to be fully compatible with one of the most used plugins for multilingual sites. You would have even more publicity by being listed in the recommended plugins by WPML. People use that reference because for a multilingual website is important that all plugins are compatible with its core plugin ??

I found it strange that there’s no topic about WPML in your support page O_o

Is it possible to fix the translated images bug in your next update?

    Hi @fedlab,

Thank you for using Optimole and sharing this.

We haven’t yet experienced this issue.
Could you please share the exact steps on how to replicate it? How do you translate an image and also maybe you have a test page to check how it shrinks with every reload of the page?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Well, the logo in the footer is the only image I translated through WPML Media Translation, I don’t know the mechanism they use to replace the image in the translated page.
You can check the footer at the bottom of the page at https://stage.mosan.com
When using the chrome dev tool and reloading the page, you can see the logo shrinking more and more.

    Hey,

I’ve checked your website but that image is not even loaded by Optimole anymore – https://vertis.d.pr/ilOHa7 (I’m not able to replicate the issue, obviously)

Have you excluded it already from being loaded by Optimole? Can you enable it again?

    Thanks!

Sorry, I had to delete the staging and recreate a new updated one and i forgot to remove the exclusion…you can try now! With Chrome better, because that version gives problems with Safari

Thank you, I’m not able to see the size reducing when I refresh the page but I always see it small.

From what I noticed it’s related to lazy-loading and scaling of the image and because of this CSS – https://vertis.d.pr/Xuxzwr

As Optimole checks the container size and makes the image size based on it this CSS then allows for the image to take only 55% of the width.

I recommend you to exclude this image from being lazy-loaded – https://docs.optimole.com/article/1191-exclude-from-optimizing-or-lazy-loading
