WPML translation – duplicated download post does not copy the download path

    Hi, there seems to be an issue for a while now. When I duplicate content for a download through WPML I always have to go to each language and re enter the download path or select the upload button again to upload the related file for download. Normally with duplicated WPML content all post info should be duplicated in all languages. With Download Monitor though there seems to be a bug where the download file is being ignored and needs to be be added manually. That cause me a huge hassle since I now have to go though so many downloads and re upload the content for each language! Is there a possibility that this could be fixed in the next version?

    I think this is because our versions are a separate post type and WPML is only cloning the main (dlm_download) post type. Might be worth a shot to contact WPML and ask if they can add support for Download Monitor since this is something that has to be added on their end.

    Hi Barry, thanks for getting back. WPML have a Go-Global Program form that you can fill in as the developer of the plugin so that WPML can create a staging site for you to test. See more info here:

    I might look into this later. This will probably lead to us having to write a glue plugin between both plugins, which I’m fine with but coming months are competently filled with work already.

    I’ve added this to our todo list but February 2018 will be the earliest we have time to look into this.

    Ok Barry, that seems to be a problem for me but I understand where you are coming from, thanks for your effort on the plugin. By the way, I am not receiving notification emails from this post even though I am subscribed. I don’t know if it’s a general issue with WordPress forum support(which sucks big time anyway) or if it’s for this particular support post.

    Regarding the notifications, this is all controlled by www.ads-software.com so I unfortunately can’t help you with that.
