WPMU LDAP, accessing user info

Hi,
I’m creating a theme, with custom templates, that will eventually be running on a multisite that uses LDAP authentication. Is there a way to access the user’s name through the LDAP, if all I have is the user ID? The multisite this will eventually be running on uses the WPMU LDAP Authentication plugin.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
