    Hi,
Since afew days ago, I am having the following problem with WPP.
Almost dayly, WPP stops counting views. When I optimize databases using wp-optimize or database tools, it starts counting again.
Any ideas on how to solve this. Is there any information I may send you to help evaluate the problem?
    Thanks for your help
    Regards
    A Jorge

    Hi @freemason,

Well, there are various things that could cause this but let’s start from the top: please share your site’s URL and share the contents of your Debug screen (Settings > WordPress Popular Posts, click on the Debug link at the top center of the screen).

    Thanks!

Alright so I just checked your website and WPP seems to be tracking views normally now so there’s not a lot I can suggest at the moment other than:

    • Make sure that WP Rocket’s page cache is set to expire at least once per day (every 12 hours is recommended). According to WP Rocket’s documentation there’s a Cache settings tab where you can find a Cache Lifespan option to control how often WP Rocket regenerates its page cache.
    • If the problem happens again don’t do anything like optimizing your database tables yet, first have a look at your server logs (your hosting provider should be able to assist you with this) and see if there are any error in there that might be related. Alternatively you could also try enabling the debug log. Also, try visiting any of your articles and pay attention to your browser’s console to see if any error messages appear there as well.
