After avtivating this plugin, I tried it out on some new posts I was writing and it was all going well until I started creating tables. If I created a 2 column table, as I started typing it would turn into 3 columns and glitching all over the place! This would happen in several posts and blocks.

I did a few tests to make sure it was this plugin that was the problem by deactivating and reactivating various plugins and Im afraid this was the one…

Perhaps I’ve missed a setting? Does this sound familiar to anyone?

    Hi @beingnaomi,

Thanks for sharing this problem with us. Such problem hasn’t been reported before but we will definitely take a closer look at it.

Could you please confirm what version of WP do you use? Do you use Gutenberg or classic editor for tables creation?

So, please confirm if my understanding correct, that with removed/disabled WProofreader plugin, there is no problem with the tables creation.

    Thanks,

    Hi @beingnaomi,

I’m writing to let you know that our team has reproduced the problem with WProofreader breaking a table in Gutenberg editor. Due to the specifics of Gutenberg’s implementation, we are not able to fix the problem on our side.

Meanwhile, we decided to disable WProofreader inside the table element. Thus, with the enabled plugin, you should not experience problems when editing tables.

Please install the fresh version and confirm if the problem is resolved for you.

    Thanks,

I think this has worked! I removed and added the WProofreader again and tried it out with my current blog post and it didnt mess up the table. Its now published and still looks fine.
    Thank you so much!
