We’ve just discovered that WPS Hide Login is causing fatal errors in WordPress when using BuddyBoss – theme and platform. We are getting a white page with an http error 500 code, and are unable to reach our site.

I disabled the plugin by going into File Manager (or FTP) public_html -> wp-content -> plugins and renaming it to wps-hide-login.hide so as to deactivate the plugin.

After that I can login at /wp-login.php and deactivate the plugin.

I see that the last 2 updates to the plugin were to address this issue, but it hasn’t done the trick.

I had to disable the plugin entirely, as I got it to work with my hidden login URL, but it looped me back to /wp-login.php and I couldn’t get past that. Nor could my visitors.

Disable the plugin and change all your links and buttons back to /wp-login.php or /wp-admin for now. Or, if you are using Siteground hosting, you can use a custom URL in their Security plugin.
