Hi, I’ve updated WordPress today and noticed that WordPress changed the Widgets design on the backend. But I’m getting Shortpixel error as follows

Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class ‘WPShortPixel’ does not have a method ‘headCSS’ in /home/customer/…../wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 303

    Hi @wpkum,

Can you please tell us more about the error?

    • When does it happen?
    • Where does it happen?
    • Can you send us a screenshot?

    Thank you!

Same error on my installation after update to 5.8. It completely breaks widgets – it becomes impossible to edit or add any new widgets, because this error is visible in every section.

    Hi @kacper3355,

Could you please send us more information about the error? We’d need to be able to reproduce it, so if you could tell us step by step what to do, we’ll appreciate it ??

    Thank you!

    Hi @sixaxis

    Hope this helps: https://i.imgur.com/io3V72M.jpg

Let me know if you need anything else!

You just need to update WordPress to 5.8 and go to Widgets page.

    Hi @kacper3355,

Thank you for that! I am with WordPress 5.8 and the Widgets page works correctly on my side. Could you please go to Tools > Site Health > Info and copy-paste here the site info? There should be a button there called “Copy site info to clipboard”.

    Thank you!

Let’s do it the other way – please give me your email and I’ll send you credentials to my site where I test things. It’s online just for testing purposes, so I don’t store any sensitive info here anyway. You’ll be able to do whatever you want on this installation without worrying about breaking something – I think it will speed things up. ??

    E-mail sent!

Also experiencing the same, WordPress 5.8, custom theme.

PHP Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, class 'WPShortPixel' does not have a method 'headCSS' in /app/web/wp/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 303

I am also experiencing problems after updating to WP 5.8. The message I get on my dashboard is following:

The following plugins are not compatible with ShortPixel and may lead to unexpected results:
    Swift Performance Lite

It offers me the following solution -> Deactivate

@sixaxis did you receive my reply (email)? I know we had issues with email delivery in the past and I’m wondering if that’s not the case again.
