• I’ve enabled the WP Touch plugin on my website. It generally all seems to be working fine, although the featured slider is only showing 1 image per page. I’m unsure as if it has the capability to show more, but the term “slider” suggests that it should.

    Im unsure if I setting this up incorrectly or not.

    Currently the plugin is set up to display pages, and each is only displaying the one featured image assigned to each page.

    Also, when switching to the desktop view, the plugin displays an incomplete version of the desktop site. It seems to be removing some of the styling.

    Thanks

  • Have you resolved this yet? As I am having the same issue.

    Hi,

    The featured image slider will only appear on a page that is set to display the latest blog posts.

    although the featured slider is only showing 1 image per page. I’m unsure as if it has the capability to show more, but the term “slider” suggests that it should.

    That’s actually just the featured image, that shows up on each page, which can be configured in Theme Settings > General > Blog > Post-thumbnails.

    What you can try is setting one of the existing pages as the “Custom latest posts page”. First, enable “Advanced” admin mode in Core Settings > General > Landing Page. Then, select the page that is set as the landing page as the “Custom latest posts page” in Theme Settings > General > Pages.

    Thanks, I really appreciate the help.

    The changes are bringing up a featured slider now, but along with it a list of all of the other posts. Is there a way to have a single featured slider, instead of dedicating the whole page to a list of posts? And the featured slider is also displaying half image, half text. Is there a way to have the slider just display specific images.

    Essentially what I’m trying to do is have a gallery slide show above the normal content, as my desktop version does.

    Also, any thoughts on why when switching to desktop version, it displays incorrectly?

    Hi,

    Yes, this is possible. However, in WPtouch (free) the changes you make to accomplish this will be overwritten in an event of an update. In WPtouch Pro, with its child theme feature, the change is possible and it’ll survive upgrades.

    If you’re keen on trying the change, you can make the change in /wptouch/themes/bauhaus/default/header-bottom.php, by changing

    if ( is_home() )
    to
    if ( is_home() || is_page() )

    Also, any thoughts on why when switching to desktop version, it displays incorrectly?

    I can’t tell exactly what may be causing that, but please verify that it only happens when WPtouch is active and viewing the desktop theme on a mobile device. It may be that the desktop theme applies different styling when the visitor is using a mobile device to view the website.

    Hello,

    WP Touch is failing to load NEX GEN gallery in mobile. I have been looking all over the forum but can’t find anything to solve it. There are not conflicting apps installed in site.
