I have the same issue with one site I use WPTouch Pro. But the other site I use WPTouch Pro does not have the same problem. How can that be?

If Google’s bots can’t access the mobile theme’s stylesheets or other files it may report that your pages are not mobile friendly due to content extending beyond the device width (particularly images). The mobile-friendly test tool will tell you if this is the case.

If Google is not seeing the mobile version at all, you may need to further refine your cache settings to make sure they get through.

    A little further detail:

If you are seeing intermittent mobile-friendly results from Google’s test tool but your site shows the mobile view consistently when you access it with your mobile device (e.g., you have eliminated any cache issues with plugins on your site), you may need to speak to your web host about caching and request routing being done by their system.

If the Google Mobile-Friendly thumbnail shows a poorly formatted version of your mobile view (missing icons, menu fully expanded), this generally indicates that the Google bot is unable to access the plugin’s stylesheets and JavaScript. Check your robots.txt file to ensure that googlebot is allowed access to /wp-content/plugins/wptouch.

Just chiming in here, because I’m having an issue on some of my pages not passing the mobile friendly test (and not rendering correctly there, but showing up ok in google page speed). I checked my robot text file with /wp-content/plugins/wptouch and it says allowed. Any further ideas how to fix? I know all of us want to avoid any algorithm penalties which Google will push through next month.

    Thanks!

You may want to check the content on those pages–if you have iframes, tables, and other content with inline CSS (switch to the code tab to see) that is forcing them to a large width, Google’s tool will flag the page as not mobile friendly.

here is another way of checking website’s mobile freindliness
