• Hello,

Our business recently installed the free version of the WPtouch Mobile Plugin but nothing works. We were excited to test the waters with this plugin before we would purchase the Pro version with better mobile designs.

By “not working,” I mean literally nothing has worked. When we installed it and activated it, we clicked on the “WPtouch” menu on the bottom left of the WordPress admin page but none of the tabs showed any content. Further, when it was activated, the following error showed up when we navigated to our website:

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_add_inline_style() in /home/lkcli/public_html/bnopenmri.com/wp-content/plugins/wptouch/themes/foundation/modules/google-fonts/google-fonts.php on line 124”

We have tried this with our sites https://www.maxrehab.com, https://www.bnopenmri.com, and https://www.handot.com. Again, we would love to get your plugin and possibly purchase the pro version, but may possibly be forced to look elsewhere for mobile options if we can’t get this issue solved. Thank you!

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear you’re disappointed by your experience with WPtouch. It sounds like your websites are running on versions of WordPress that are older than those supported by our plugins.

A key indicator is the error you saw: the wp_add_inline_style() function is a core WordPress function that was added in WordPress 3.3 (Released in December 2011).

Old WordPress versions can contain security vulnerabilities that have been fixed with time, so we would definitely encourage you to upgrade. Once you’re running a more recent version of WordPress we would invite you give WPtouch another try.

    Thanks,

    Martin Kuplens-Ewart
    Product Manager, WPtouch
