In the visual editor of this post, the text is shown at the right side of the picture, starting from the top of the picture downward. However, on the site, as you can see, the texts only starts at the bottom of the picture. Any suggestion as to how I get the text to start from the top of the picture?

I found a workaround by adding a caption to the picture. As shown in https://www.verhalenmaker.nl/2022/12/leuke-weetjes/

However, if this could be done without a caption, I’d prefer that.

Also: is it possible to change the font of the caption (smaller, italic)?

It looks like your image is missing the figure element around it, which is needed for the left-alignment work properly.

Could you please confirm whether you’re using the block editor, or whether you’ve deactivated it, either via the Classic Editor plugin, or some other way? Twenty Twenty-Three is a block theme, meant for use with the WordPress block editor.

In the block editor, please try removing the image, and then re-inserting it as an Image block just above the first paragraph. With your Image block selected, choose the “Align left” option on the block as you see here.

Again, with the Image block, there’s an option for italics, as you see below. It will also look smaller.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi Kathryn, thanks for your help. Looks like the image block is what I need!

Now I need to convert old posts to block posts and am running in new issues – but will post them in new threads ??

Hi @auitje – if you click the toolbar at the top of your Classic block, do you see an option that says “Convert to blocks,” like this:

If you click that, your post created in the Classic editor should be converted to blocks, and you can then make any necessary tweaks from there. Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks. Great! @zoonini

Only the header is not converted to a block – I can edit the text, but not select it as a block. The editor on the side says “no block selected” Is this to be expected?

Hi @auitje when you say the header what are you referring to exactly? Can you please give more information about this.

Feel free to share a screenshot as well

(I try to include an image, but get the message that file uploading is disabled. Don’t know where to store my image so I can use a URL.)

I mean the title of the post. I think I misunderstood what is happening here. It is defined in the template as the Post Title. Thanks for your patience. It’s clear now.

You can upload a screenshot to https://snipboard.io/ once it has been uploaded a new URL will be provided which you can share here.

I see, the Post Title block is used to customize the look of your page it is used to display the title of a post or page. It isn’t possible to edit the Post Title block.
