    1. My issue is how to have the home page write-ups to be before the sliders; not below it.
    2. There is too much space between the end of the write-ups on the home page and the carousel, I have tried to remove the “block” to no avail.
    3. On the About Us page, I want to replace the pictures that are immediately after “we stand out” without those pictures appearing and displacing the ones in the carousel on the home page. How do I do it?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    1. There isn’t a built-in function for this. The home slider is designed to show at the top of the page. The premium theme would allow you to add a shortcode slider anywhere in the page, but the free theme does not offer this function. You would need to use a plugin like this: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/slide-anything/ You would just paste the slider shortcode into your homepage content area.

    2. This css will remove some of the padding:

    .home-padding {
        padding: 0;
    }

    You can paste that into your custom css box in Theme Options > Advanced Settings. I’m also seeing an empty p tag in your content area that is creating space. You can remove that from your edit page.

    3. You can assign the posts you want shown to a specific category (or type) and choose to only show portfolio posts from that type. Would that work for you?

    Thanks Hannah.
    For 1. It means I would have to discard the slider that came this theme.
    2. Is clear. Will get back to you when I try and it works.
    3. Is not clear to me.

    3. I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to accomplish. Are you wanting to show the portfolio items in a carousel on your portfolio page, rather than the grid? If so, this isn’t an option for how the portfolio page works.

    Let me know if I’m misunderstanding your goals and I’ll be happy to help!

    3. Let me be a bit more clearer. In the About Us page, I have a grid with 6 pictures starting with a white helmet. I want to change these pictures. I want to replace these pictures with corporate logos of the companies that we sell their products.

    If you look at these pictures in grid, they are same as the pictures in the home page carousel.

    My point: I want to change these pictures in the grid of About Us but I don’t want the pictures I will use in replacing the About Us grid pictures to replace the carousel pictures in the home page. I want to change the grip pictures in About Us alone but I don’t want these new pictures to show up in the home page carousel. I am okay with the pictures in the home page carousel. I only want to change the grip pictures in About Us page. How do I do it?

    Are you wanting these different images to still link to the same portfolio posts? Or are you wanting separate portfolio posts to display? You can only set one portfolio image per post.

    I just want these new pictures to replace the pictures in About Us grip without linking to anywhere.

    So it sounds like you’re wanting a gallery, rather than a portfolio grid. Have you tried selecting the “Add Media” button from the content editor? You should see an option to create a gallery within that. Let me know if that would work for you.

    Thanks Hannah. “Gallery” is the right word. But how do I remove the grid completely from the About Us page? My removing the grid shout not affect the images in the home page carousel because it seems like what shows up in the home page carousel is what’s being displayed in the About Us portfolio grid. I want to delete only the images in the grid so that I can try the gallery option that you pointed out or see if a plugin can sort the issue.

    To remove the grid from your about us page, you just need to assign a different template, such as the fullwidth:
    https://docs.kadencethemes.com/virtue-free/fullwidth-page-template/

    Then you can create the gallery in place of the portfolio grid.

    The link you sent to me which is for creating full-width page did not solve my problem because it is creating extra navigational links that I don’t need. What I want is how to delete the product grid in the About Us page.

    Looks like you were able to set up an image grid in place of the portfolio posts on the about us page.

    What “extra navigational” links are you referring to? I should be able to help you remove any links that you don’t want on the page.

    I have an issue with the shop page. I have created the drop-down menu that I need which are the categories and ticked the proper categories for all the products but when I click on a category like “safety foot wear”, it shows up an empty page. What could be the problem?

    (@hannahritner)

    Hey,
    It looks like you’re linking to an empty page, rather than your product category page. From Appearance > Menus you should see a Product Categories dropdown that you can select your categories from and add them to your menu. If you don’t see this make sure it has been selected from the Screen Options tab at the top of the page.
