    Hi lteingo!
We don’t have a feature to change date format in the theme, you can try with this guide: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-change-date-and-time-format-in-wordpress/

I have not tested it myself though, if that doesn’t work you might have to try with a plugin

You can translate the theme with a translation plugin, for example WPML

Thanks for your reply, but I already tried this, it did not work.
The theme displays the date on the starting page like this: “Oktober 7, 2018”. The correct format in German “7. Oktober 2018”. So it uses the German names for the months, it does not use the German format though.

On a single-post-display the system displays: “by XXXX | Posted on 7. Oktober 2018” – using the correct format and Names, but English language (“by” should be substituted by “Autor” (i.e.) and “Posted on” can be discarded at all).

There should be a php-file which generates these lines. I cannot find it… :-(.

    Regards,
    Ingo
