Writing a WordPress Post Taking too much time

  • Hi,

    when I start writing a post on WordPress page/post, the cursor takes too much time to respond and for a couple of seconds, it got hanged.

    Due to this each of my posts takes a lot of time to complete. Please guide.

    I can’t refer to any specific post as I am facing a problem with every post/page while writing.

  • Can you try the Health Check plugin in Troubleshoot mode? It helps you disable all plugins/theme for your user only, so you can see if the problem still exists with core WordPress, or if a plugin is the culprit.

    Do you have any caching plugins that controls WP heartbeat API?

    Third party update to heartbeat API can cause this problem. If you have a caching (site speed improvement) plugin(s), try disabling features or plugin(s) and see what happens.
