Writing the .htaccess file from scratch

    Hi,

    I want to write the .htaccess file from scratch as my webhost says they do not write one for me. I do not know any coding..what do i do?

    I searched online and tonnes of links all pointing to info on updating and moddifying .htaccess files. None on creating one from scratch.
