    Hello,

I tried your plugin but it changed all my images alt text to alt=”icon”

I show that it should change it to the name of the image.

I didn’t change anything in the settings, all of them are on the default settings

    Hello @rippergr

Thanks for checking out my humble plugin. That’s strange. Can you check the media library and see what it shows there for the said images?

Also, any direct link where I can check out what’s happening?

Default settings should be fine. The settings do not apply to the bulk updater in the free version. But all the attributes should be sourced from the filename and no where else. That’s the expected behaviour.

Looking forward to your feedback. I will help you sort this out.

You are right. In the media library every image has the correct alterantive text but in the web page it shows alt=”icon” .

Do you think that something changes it from the template?

    the webpage is https://www.ferkonal.gr

Thanks for the website. Many alt text is added as expected – https://jmp.sh/MQlUhksB

So this would depend on your template. Alt text is added in two locations, media library and post HTML (more on that can be read here).

If the page fetches the alt text from the post HTML, then that needs to be updated. You need the add-on Image Attributes Pro to update post HTML.

Many WooCommerce themes pull attributes from the Media library. If that’s the case and yet alt text is not added, then a template update could be needed. I have some helpful notes in this doc – https://imageattributespro.com/add-image-attributes-to-featured-images/

I hope that helps, feel free to ask away any questions that you might have.
