    Hello,
I have a problem with the end date in the registration confirmation. For example, the event date is 11. to 13.4.25 (dd.tt.yy), but in the e-mail confirmation and on the event page it says 11. to 14.4.25. What could be the reason for this? (Link/Screenshot)

I use the ‘Registrations for The Events Calendar’ plugin and have already corresponded with the support team there. They wrote to me: ‘This part of the plugin is more related to The Events Calendar.’ They also advised me to change the date settings from the UTC+ time zone to the proper time zone – in my case ‘Berlin’. I have done that. Unfortunately, the error still persists.

    What can I do?

    Best regards
    Helga

    Hi @helpar,

The screenshot shows that you’re still using UTC timezone. In order for The Events Calendar to work properly, you must use a location-based timezone and avoid using UTC offsets.?Using UTC offsets?can cause problems?with Daylight Saving Time, event imports, and event data handling.

Moreover, the provided URL is a single post, not an event, would you mind checking it and sharing the correct URL with me?

Looking forward to helping you with this.

    Hi there,

    Hi,

your answer is only two days old!

Sorry, the pictures show the first time zone setting. As written, I set the time zone to Berlin after the support with ‘Registrations’ – same result. And now?

    Best regards

    Hi@helpar,

Sorry about closing the ticket accidentally.

The provided URL is a single post page, see: https://share.zight.com/9Zu6lLkG

Would you mind sharing an event page URL with me?

Meanwhile, it would be good to test for conflicts. Could you follow the following steps?

    1. Deactivate all other plugins except for The Events Calendar Plugins.
    2. Switching to the Default theme.

Please read the Testing for Conflicts article before doing anything.

To be safe, we’d recommend conducting tests and updates on a Staging Server. Also, please keep a working backup of your website.

I also recommend clearing the cache if you have a caching plugin or setting.

    Hi!
Thank you for your reply. I have deactivated all plugins – except Events Calendar and Registrations für Events Calendar. I have also deactivated my theme and tried the default WordPress theme. Unfortunately no change. The date remains wrong.
    And now?

    Hi @helpar ,

Thank you for your message and for taking the time to do the conflict test.

Per my colleague’s previous message, it seems the URL you provided to us, which is https://foto-kunst-kultur.de/25-04-11-magie-der-farbe-egglhof/, is a single-post page (see https://share.zight.com/9Zu6lLkG), and something that does not resemble to be an event that’s created with The Events Calendar. Is this the correct page you’re having difficulties with?

    Hi,

many thanks for your answer. It’s the right page. The page was created with Thrive Architect. The code for the registration (Events Calendar) is at the bottom. I have tested it without Thrive Architect – unfortunately there is also the error. I have also tested various posts with events – the error appears on all posts. The code is on WordPress posts, not on pages.

    Hi Helga,

    Thanks for your response.

I’m not entirely familiar with the specifics of integrating Thrive Architect and The Events Calendar. Could you provide detailed steps on how we can replicate the issue on our end? This will help us understand the problem better.

Additionally, I recommend reaching out to the Thrive support team for further assistance. They may have encountered a similar issue before and might be able to suggest a workaround or a solution that aligns with your setup.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi Darian,

the error cannot be due to Thrive Architect. I have only inserted the HTML code from the EventsCalendar into the plugin. I have also deactivated all plugins (except EventsCalendar and Registrations) – including Thrive Architect. The date is still wrong.

So the error can’t be due to an Architect or another plugin, can it?

    Best regards

    Hi Helga,

    Thanks for your message.

Could you provide the steps on how we can replicate the issue including the HTML code that you mentioned? I want to check the issue further on my side.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi @helpar ,

Thank you for your message and for taking the time to video record your setup.

I’d like to let you know that the shortcode, [rtec-registration-form], is not a shortcode of The Events Calendar. In fact, The Events Calendar (free) plugin does not ship with shortcode functionality.

In my research about the said shortcode, it looks like it’s made possible by the Registrations for The Events Calendar plugin, which is a third-party plugin.

Furthermore, in looking at your screen recording, it seems you have set the event to use an offset based time zone setting (see https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cZl2VRnnEzq). I recommend changing this to location based and setting it according to your WordPress time zone setting (in Settings -> General -> Timezone).

Please feel free to let us know how you go or if you have further questions/concerns.
