Wrong email notification sent

I have an existing appointment in Bookly with Status Active.
If I go into Bookly>Calendar, edit this appointment, change the date and time, and leave the Status set to Active, Bookly uses my email template of type New booking notification instead of type Notification about customer’s appointment status change.I thought the New booking notification should only be sent once, when the appointment is first booked.
When you update an existing appointment, should Bookly be sending the Notification about customer’s appointment status change?
