    Hi there
I need help with an incorrect email that woocommerce sends when buying via paypal on my site.
In a nutshell, if the purchase is made by credit card (with stripes) the customer receives the classic “thank you for your purchase, etc etc..” email, if the purchase is made by bank transfer, the email is of the type “your order has been received and awaiting payment. As soon as you have made the payment, send us a receipt etc etc.”. Unfortunately this second payment waiting email is also sent when the purchase is made via paypal (and the transaction is successful, I see the movement on my paypal account). How can I tell woocommerce to send the first type of email and not the second?
Thank you so much for your support and for your time, I look forward to the info`

    Hi @scappatella,

It looks like the linked website uses the old PayPal Standard integration and not PayPal Payments.
The PayPal Standard integration is supported by the WooCommerce team: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/woocommerce/
The support for this old PayPal integration is limited though, and the primary recommendation is to give it a try with the new PayPal Payments plugin.

Usually, emails like this are sent when the WooCommerce order is in the status “On hold” and does not directly go to “Processing”. This could happen for various reasons, but we can only assist with issues or questions relating to the PayPal Payments plugin.
So I suggest testing it out with PayPal Payments and letting us know if any questions remain. Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas

I was not aware of this new plugin. In fact, once installed and configured, sending the mail seems to be correct again.
    A thousand thanks!
