Wrong favicon on google index when switching off under construction

So there is nothing we can do ??
You can try reindexing the website in your Google Console or wait until they recrawl and update their cache.

Like said: the correct icon is shown on the browser tabs, that is not the issue.
The wrong favicon is shown on the Google indexing page. See https://imgur.com/a/7VEKJ4k

No, I understood you, but like I said, there is nothing we can do about Google’s cache ??
You can try reinspecting the URL as described here https://developers.google.com/search/docs/crawling-indexing/ask-google-to-recrawl
