Wrong homepage: template doesn’t change home

Hello

I have created many websites with WordPress. I use Astra templates. In my latest project whenever I change the template it NEVER shows the correct Home-page!? All other pages work fine: about, work, contact pages are showing good.

I have tried to go to “customize settings” and change the static page to Home but this doesn’t work, any idea? Sorry I can’t show the example, I keep deleting is because it’s so frustrating…
