Wrong Image on Facebook Share

Same problem here! I’ve tried every combination of settings under “On posts/pages:” but it’s still adding the same image to all my facebook posts from twitter (if there isn’t an image defined) which is NOT the one I set under “Default image:”

Very frustrating, and very embarrassing!

This plugin does not insert tags on the body, only in the head.

In the meanwhile I see you’re using another plugin so I can’t debug it further.

I have set to use this image: https://www.lisaillman.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/twitterbird2.jpg

Instead, Facebook is picking another image.

I just got an error message

Error: Facebook Open Graph Tags cache NOT updated/purged.
Facebook returned: Object at URL ‘https://www.lisaillman.com/five-steps-to-having-a-successful-twitter-party/’ of type ‘article’ is invalid because it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values: https://www.lisaillman.com/five-steps-to-having-a-successful-twitter-party/, https://www.lisaillman.com/five-steps-to-having-a-successful-twitter-party/.

I got rid of the error message by following this:
As the message states, you can/should disable this on the settings page unticking “Try to update Facebook Open Graph Tags cache when saving the post”

But… Facebook is still picking the wrong image.

Can you please re-activate our plugin and disable social tags from Yoast SEO so we can debug the problem?

I cannot re-activate the plugin.

Due to the fact that the post had already been published I had to find a way to solve the issue that day.
