  • Missed italian translation

    Hello,
I managed to solve it, you have to rename the folder “lang” to “languages” in the FTP:
    wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7-image-captcha/lang/
    wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7-image-captcha/languages/
I hope it works well for all of you, as it does for me.
    Regards,

That sounds like a local problem with your installation. That folder is regularly named languages.

I believe the issue is that I switched from local files to WordPress’ language system which ended up confusing a lot of sites as to where the to get the language file from. I have changed the ‘lang’ folder to ‘languages’ to match the default WordPress language folder to see if that will resolve issues.
Please update to 3.3.3 and let me know if you are still experiencing translation errors.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

The changes you made have no effect. The translation still does not work.

    Sincerely

    The issue still persist:

    • plugin version: 3.3.3
    • language: italian
    • plugin language folder name: “languages”

    Dear Kyle Charlton,

unfortunately, the Plugin still doesn’t work for us – we would be really grateful if you could fix the issue…

    • Version 3.3.3
    • language: German
    • plugin language folder renamed to “languages”

    Thank you very much!

I have made some additional changes to the internationalization functions of the plugin, please update to version 3.3.5 and let me know if that resolves the language issues.

    @ktc_88 Hi, version 3.3.5 still doesn’t work.

    Hi,
I am still investigating this issue.
It’s very unusual as I have followed all of the documentation.
Are all of your sites multi-lingual or just a single language site?

On my side it still doesn’t work either. And I receive again spams from my contact page. It’s too much that the problem persists! Moreover, I’m really afraid for the security of my site considering your level to solve this problem. I’m going to change my plugin.

In my tests, I do see that the plugin does translate correctly so long as the correct language is set in the HTML lang attribute of either the HTML tag or the FORM tag holding the contact form. The FORM tag overrides the HTML tag.

For anyone who is experiencing this issue, please provide the following details.

    1. What is your domain (so I can look at your lang attributes)
    2. What is your language set to (exactly as shown in language selection box in settings)
    3. Is your site a multi-lingual site or a single language site
    4. Are you using any translation plugins?

The translations were working at one point, I’m not sure if this is an issue affecting all sites or just a few, but I believe it has to do with a change to Contact Form 7 itself. I am looking into ways to offset the issues, but it is difficult without interfering with other language plugins.
