Wrong meta tags for events created by Events Made Easy

I am using the plugin Events Made Easy (EME) in addition to Yoast SEO. EME creates its own tables for the events and does not use the same table as the posts. In spite of that Yoast finds a description for the individual events, which is wrong. In fact, most of the Opengraph and Twitter tags are wrong.

So, I need to do one of two things: find a way to disable Yoast creating any meta tags for these events (I can do that from within EME); or, find a way to ensure that Yoast is finding the right information for the meta tags.

How can I achieve that goal?
