I already found a few threads with the same problem, but no solution.

I use the free version of Events Calendar with Elementor Pro.

The language of the website is German.

I first had the problem that certain strings were not translated (“date & time” or “costs”), even though I correctly set up the plugin “Loco Translate”. I then found a forum post saying that I have to downgrade to version 6.5.0, where the string translations still worked. I then had to save the translations in the Loco Translate folder and could then update the plugin.

So the current version of Events Calendar is now the latest: 6.5.1.6

    My problem:
In the Elementor widget “Event Date & Time” the months names are still displayed in English and don’t get translated to German. I cant find the option to translate the months names anywhere in Loco Translate.

However, in the event list, they are all displayed correctly, see:

But on the single event page created with elementor and the widget, it is wrong (In German it’s spelled Dezember and not December):

What can I do here? Has anyone an idea?

    Thank you!

    Hi @naou ,

Thank you for your message and for the information.

I tried navigating to the single event, and this seems to be inaccessible. Are you able to make it available publicly?

Okay it should be public now.

    Hello,

I have the same problem on my site. I use the Event calendar in free version with Elementor Pro. My site is in French. I have a translation problem with The event Date and Time widget. The month is always displayed in English while on the calendar, it appears in French. Impossible to translate it.

    Do you have more information?

    thank you.

    Have a nice day !

    Hi @alinec13

I understand your concern. I’ve made a note in our internal ticket that this issue is also occurring in French. I don’t have any new information to share about the internal ticket at the moment. But rest assured, I will keep you informed through this thread as soon as there’s an update.

Hi! The plugin’s changelog says there were fixes for the translations (not sure whether they are related to this issue or not), however, the issue is till there. If I have French WP site and added a widget The event Date & Time, the month still displayed in English, not in French ??

P.S. can you please test and confirm the problem has been fixed on your side? Thank you.

    Hi @dpofff

I would have to test it too if it’s fixed. I made a workaround by just not displaying the month’s names at all and just display them as for example “30.10.2024“.

    Good night

    Hello @d0153 ,

is it possible for the support team to test the issue and confirm the fix does work for French language?

    We’d appreciate it much.

Hi @naou. Thank you for the tip!

    have a good one!
