Wrong number of visitors in GA?

    Hi,
    I’ve installed the plugin for a week and checked the number of visitors in Google Analytics. It seems, that there have been 30% more visitors than before. But when I check the server logfiles, there have been less visitors at that time!

    Do you have an explanation for that?

    Hi @andreas-2013,

    Could you share the URL of your site? You can do this privately under ‘the page I need help with’.

    In your Complianz dashboard, do you see a warning about a double implementation of your statistics tool? If you let Complianz handle your statistics script, but you did not delete the original implementation, this can explain why you are seeing this increase.

    You can find these settings in the Complianz Wizard under Cookies -> Statistics & Statistics – configuration.

    It seems that you have deactivated Complianz judging from the front-end of your site, so I can not determine if your site indeed has a duplicate implementation of your Analytics script.

    yes, I’ve deactivated the plugin for today, to test a few other things, sorry.

    Leon, by the way, your support here is really first class! This is exceptional and very rare.
    And if you could solve the problem with the Static Google Maps (my other topic), I will also buy the premium version ??

    Good morning Leon,
    the plugin is activated again. I see, that there is an option in the wizard, that Complianz could handle Analytics. If I say “yes”, do I have to delete the Google Analytics code, which I’ve set manually?

    My other post “Google Maps is not displayed correctly” is set as “solved”! Can you correct this please? Thank you!

    Hi, if I let Complianz handle the Google Analytics setting, do I have to delete the GA-code, that I have manually insert? In other words, does Complianz insert the GA-code into the page?

    Complianz will add the code for your, and if needed anonymizes IP. You can delete the other code, regards Aert
