Wrong og:url on tags page

  • On tag pages og:url and og:image is taken from first article on the page. Is there any way to change it?

    Please provide us with some screenshots or a short video of the errors you faced step by step. Also, please share a live URL from your issue.

    Note: The “og” means Open Graph; where exactly did you encounter the issue? Perhaps it happens after migrating your website, so in this case, please make sure all old URLs are changed to new destination URLs. Also, it could be the permalink issue, please head over to WP Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and set the “PostName” and update the settings(if this option is already enabled, just click on the update button).

    This issue only occurs on tag and category pages. On the other pages it works fine, but on the tags an category page the link is taken from the first entry.

    We did see this happening on our end, so we’ll share this topic with the developer team, and it will be fixed/improved for the next updates.

    However, the best way to control it is by using a third-party plugin(like Rank Math SEO, Yoast SEO, etc.); They provide professional SEO features.
