• Hello,

We have a site using Woocommerce. A lot of customers have made orders in the past few days. The problem is, the orders are not going through paypal because the email set up was wrong. Now, we have changed the email to the right one. Will the orders be automatically go through there? Or is there something we should do to make it work? Currently, the recent orders are on hold.

    Thanks,
    Eli

    Hi Eli,

Did the customers send their funds to the other PayPal account? Or was it invalid so no funds were sent?

I believe you will need to have these customers pay again, or rather ask them too at least. Set the order status to “pending payment” and send them the payment link via email using the “customer message” section on the right hand side.

    Hi Caleb,

Thanks for replying to my question.

Yes. But I’m not sure if the payment was invalid, is there a message that will tell them that the payment was invalid?

Also, since the email was wrong, is it safe to say that there was no money sent to anyone?

So if we ask them to pay again, were those orders of no value and are safe to delete?

And apologies but how will I do this: “Set the order status to “pending payment” and send them the payment link via email using the “customer message” section on the right hand side.”?

Check to see what the order notes say on the right hand side of your admin order page.

No way for me to know this. Does that email have an active paypal account?

You can keep the same orders, just set to pending and have them visit the link where they can pay again.

You can do this while editing an order: https://cld.wthms.co/11f33/2WObISlP. Set to pending payment, save, and send them the link.

    Hi,

Please see this image for the order notes.

I tried to send payment to the wrong email but it went through. Please see this image. It went through and just waiting for the user to accept. Does this mean that this email do exist?

I believe this will depend if the old email is indeed a valid paypal account or not.

If the email does not exist, the money won’t be accepted unless they create a paypal account with that email and accept it.

I see. Is there a way to check if the email is registered to paypal or something?

I’m lost. Why are you not setting it up with your actual paypal email address…surely you have an account?

No, the setup right now is on the right email. However, the email setup before was wrong and on those days, there were customers who paid. So I’m just wondering if the orders pushed through on the wrong email.

You need to manually check for the payments of orders if you’re unsure. The ones to the ‘wrong’ email address cannot be recovered by yourself unless you own the other wrong email address too and link it up to paypal.

I am trying to get orders processed. I’m getting an error in the admin panel that says, “A fatal error has occurred when processing a recent subscription payment with PayPal. Please open a new ticket at WooCommerce Support immediately to get this resolved. In order to get the quickest possible response please attach a Temporary Admin Login and a copy of your PHP error logs to your support ticket.
Last recorded error: PayPal API error – credentials are incorrect.”

This error is so cleverly designed that it says nothing about where it’s from, who’s error it is, or what to do. But, when I press the “Open up a ticket now” … it’s got a nifty “WordPress” logo pointing to a “WooCommerce logo and back and forth and all. When I click that, it says none of my emails are registered. But, they all are.

Anyone can see I’m logged into WordPress, so I’m assuming that’s not the problem. What should I do? I’m hitting walls here. Thanks!

I’m also getting this message “A fatal error has occurred when processing a recent subscription payment with PayPal. Please open a new ticket at WooCommerce Support immediately to get this resolved.
In order to get the quickest possible response please attach a Temporary Admin Login and a copy of your PHP error logs to your support ticket.
    Last recorded error: Invalid order.”
But I got the payments and my customers got access to the site. Except they got the Error message once they were redirected from PayPal to my site. And again no words about the reason of the problem, just Invalid order.
